What's our mentoring program all about?
The Business Chicks mentoring program links an experienced, successful business woman (the mentor) with a candidate seeking development (the mentee).
The program offers mentees:
- An opportunity to develop their capabilities with a likeminded business woman
- Professional and personal inspiration, motivation and empowerment
- Support to build confidence and leadership skills
- First-hand experience and advice from their mentor
- Support and guidance from a trusted person outside their organisation
- The chance to extend their personal and professional network
> The cost of the six month program for MENTEES is $600 + GST
The mentors are well-respected business women in their field, are members of the Business Chicks community and join our program on a voluntary basis. Mentors offer their time in order to give back to the female business community by supporting women who are 'rising in the ranks' or 'going out on their own' in business, and by imparting well-worn lessons, advice and experience.
Mentors and mentees will be paired via a comprehensive matching process, and will be thoroughly supported by Business Chicks throughout the program.
We run a fantastic launch event to kick off each program and another event to reflect on the program at the end.
Each mentor pair receives a journal to guide their six month journey together, using it to set goals, record discussions, advice, learnings and more. Most mentors and mentees meet up at least twice a month for a coffee and a chat and to work through any challenges that the mentee might be facing.
Where is the program being run?
This year, the mentoring program ran in NSW, QLD and VIC.

Mentees - get involved if you’re looking for a boost in your confidence, skills, personal leadership and the achievement of your goals. You’ll receive the encouragement and support of an experienced business person, and the opportunity to cultivate ideas and creativity.
Mentors enjoy working with driven individuals and often find they get as much from the experience as the mentees. It’s a chance to develop your leadership and coaching skills, and know that you’re supporting someone who’s willing and ready to learn and grow.
