Hi chicks, Happiest of happy birthdays & i can somehow bet the 6th year shall be even bigger and better for you all. I just wanted to say a big thank you for being a gorgeous community & one that definitely help me get back my business mojo back after having bub and dissolving an unproductive biz partnership earlier this year. The most critical thing for solo business owners is to feel support and vibrant people to bounce ideas off - especially if there are nappies in the mix of daily life! At my very first breakky I saw the Amazing prof Wood and then got a ticket to Kochie's business builders from you via a comp. Through there I was able to meet some fabulous business owners who I am still connected to now & so many amazing people later, I am a truly inspired individual with Mojo rebuilt & firing ;) Today my gorgeous site launched with our founding experts & many delicious experiences to help teams connect over food & drinks & give people inspiration to make their clients feel truly appreciated. I look forward to seeing what you think! Business Chicks was definitely a big part of the support I needed to get here. I am always so enthusiastic when people ask "is joining business chicks worth it". Any association or community one joins is what one makes of it. The more that community embraces its tribe, the more one feels compelled to contribute to it. That's how i feel about you guys & you have yourselves to congratulate on creating that energy (although having met you all I know your responses would be "but it's our members that give us the motivation to do what we do.lol) Thank you! Congrats to Team Business Chicks on 5 fab years. I attended the Sir Richard Branson Breakfast at Crown which in itself was a great thrill. I'd been speaking with and emailing Briony Kenned, Director of Adorn Mineral Cosmetics and organised her for two of my Take 2 Markets events. I didn't know anyone at the breakfast and luckily ran into two ladies I knew from Twitter, however they were sitting on a table separate to me. I went to my table and introduced myself to the ladies already seated. Imagine my surprise when I introduced myself to Briony! Yep- out of all the tables at Palladium we were sitting together and meeting for the very first time. That was hilarious and very timely! Thanks for introducing me to Briony and so many other great women that morning. I look forward to attending more Business Chicks events - you guys do an amazing job. Congratulations Emma and the Business Chicks team on turning 5! What can I say?! How come it took me so long to find you? I first heard about Business Chicks after sitting beside Emma at a seminar earlier this year. She obviously had a big impact because as soon as I got back to the office I joined up and I haven't looked back since. Through this amazing network I've met Zahrina Robertson from Zahrina Photography who recently took all the professional photos for my companies, LyceumGroup Mortgages and Foundation. She was just brilliant and without Business Chicks I never would have found her. Likewise, I've also meet Melanie Lindquist of Avalde web design and she and her team are re-creating our websites. All of this means that this fantastic network of talented women is now my first port of call when I'm looking for a consultant or some good old fashioned business advice. Where do I start? Perhaps at the beginning. I joined Business Chicks at the Breakfast with Sir Richard Branson in Sydney last year. As an experience this was nothing short of inspiring and led me to join my first pro-women in business network. Prior to this I had horrible visions of such groups being all about hand-holding and mantra chanting, but what I have found is a professional, uplifting and energetic association that has brought me new client contacts through the website and engaging presentations that have set the platform for new inspiration and motivation to achieve. Well done on 5 years and well done on continuing to provide high quality and variety to empower and inspire women across Australia.Reply

I joined Business Chicks in March this year as I wanted to network with like minded individuals. Its been an amazing experience so far just learning from the members who I have connected with online with such diverse backgrounds and are very passionate about their work. Its been very inspiring and I hope to learn from these brilliant minds and venture out into my own business one day. The amazing Dr. Fiona Wood was very inspiring at the breakfast event I attended in Melbourne, she is an inspiration - so humble yet brilliant, passionate, dedicated and persistent in finding the 'spray on skin' method to help burn victims - genius! I look forward to the final events in November, I cannot wait to hear from Deborra-lee Furness and her work with the child advocacy foundation. I also am really looking forward to the networking event to discuss my new venture in the online marketing world.
