Describe your typical day…My work day is extremely varied. Depending on the projects we have on our schedule, it could start off with putting together a creative concept for a digital campaign, social media strategy based work or search based strategies.  Throughout the day I work with my team to review client campaigns and guide them through any challenges they may have.  We have over 100 clients that we work with on various projects, so my work day can be quite fragmented and challenging. Which of course I love. The online space moves at lightning speed, which means that we have to be ready to change our direction quickly with new developments in Google and Facebook.  We hold regular innovation meetings to ensure that we are up to speed with what is happening in the space, and discuss the implications for our clients.

When was the last time you felt inspired?  Last week I watched a YouTube video by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg talking about women in leadership positions. Powerful stuff.

What’s next on your Bucket List and why? To swim with Great White Sharks in South Australia.  I am terrified of sharks but I think the experience would push my boundaries. Plus it’s one of those things you want to say you have done.

Tell us something about you that may surprise people?  Last year I drove in the Classic Car Rally in a Porsche as a co-driver and we won our class. I had my eyes closed for the first two rounds so I am not sure of the value I provided, but it was an amazing experience.

What’s your top tip for success?  Don’t be afraid of failure. Take educated risks and learn from your mistakes.

What would you like to get from your Business Chicks experience?  I already get a lot of value from the events and listening to the inspirational speakers. I would like to engage in the networking more and see more of your events come to Perth.
