When I moved up to Sydney 16 months ago I felt like I was all alone in a very big city (!) and I was daunted by the prospect of having to make new contacts and friends. Luckily a fellow colleague invited me along to a BusinessChicks breakfast, where I was introduced to lots of lovely members (both male and female). My network in Sydney has now massively expanded, and I have been lucky enough to have Business Chick members attend my workplace for events, briefings and coffee catch-ups. I have also set up a Performance Management blog on the BusinessChicks website and I now use that to tap into the wealth of knowledge and experience that makes up the BusinessChicks membership. I also regularly check out the BusinessChicks LinkedIn group as there are always so many fascinating conversations going on in that space. It’s a fantastic organisation and I would highly recommend becoming a premium member – it’s worth it for the Latte magazine alone!
